In 2025, 50 young men from each location were invited to attend the Exelon Foundation Boys to STEM Academy. Once again, we invited students to join us in Washington DC/Maryland (University of Maryland), and were able to expand our program to Chicago (DePaul University), Philadelphia (Saint Joseph’s University), and Baltimore (University of Maryland, Baltimore County). Participants spent the week learning about energy and sustainability, meeting employees and executives who work in STEM, and developing valuable leadership skills.

In its inaugural year, the Exelon Foundation Boys to STEM Academy welcomed 60 young men from across Exelon service territories to join us at the University of Maryland, College Park. Students engaged in a week of learning about energy and sustainability, meeting employees and executives who work in STEM, and developing valuable leadership skills. Participants also worked together to solve a real-world energy problem during their weeklong challenge and presented to a panel of judges.
